Hey all,
How’s it with you? It’s pretty boring around these parts. The new year always is for me. I’m pretty purposeful in not baking a lot because I’ll want to eat a lot. I’m not buying a lot because, well we just did a lot of that in December.
So a lot of days are spent ho-huming around the house. Organizing, catching up and lots of play are how we have been spending our days. Oh, and not to mention that this last week there was one ‘too cold to go to school’ day and 2 2-hour delays. Not your typical school week.
I started a bible study this week by Lysa Terkeurt. It’s titled Unglued. Have you ever feel unglued? I certainly have. And it’s been many more times than I’d like to admit. It’s been a huge blessing already. I can’t wait to dig in deeper. Check back Tuesday for my first thoughts and take away.
Days are spent playing Legos and watching iCarly and Phineas and Ferb. They’re especially loving Legos for the last few weeks. We took an old table we have and thanks to Pinterest ideas we made a nice play space and its really sparked their creativity. It also has meant lots of nice playing time together which is super awesome for Mom. 🙂
Sorry for these very dark photos. It’s so dreary here today so the light is terrible and I’m being super lazy and don’t feel like editing. Yup. I get lazy just like everyone.
Mandy is doing great. Housebreaking is going well. She hasn’t had many accidents lately. The kids are throughly enjoying her. The fact that she doesn’t have to be crated as much is great for everyone.
We just treated her to some new bones and she is a super happy girl. She could use a trimming. We’re losing her eyes. 🙂
My favorite recipe from this last week has been this blueberries cream granola. It’s already gone. Can you believe? Guess it’s time to make some more!
Hope you are having a relaxing fun weekend.
In the middle of a beautiful mess,
Melanie

I just got done with “Unglued”!! Loved it and it was super helpful. I recently discovered her and almost every book on my Kindle is by her 🙂 I read “Craved” and it is really helping me with my weight loss journey. I keep going back to the book to remind me why I am doing this. Totally recommend it. I forget the other ones I have but she is such a delight to read! My boys are also into Legos. They spend so much time with them. I enjoy your posts….keep them coming 🙂

Thanks Debby. I have seen ‘Craved’ around but haven’t read it yet. Yes, Unglued is great. And she is a delight. Really enjoying it so far.
Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your kind words! 🙂

I have not read “Unglued” – I have been a fan of “Streams in the Desert” for the longest time.
Relaxing with legos and tv sounds like a good way toun wind and be unglued 🙂
And Mandy just melts my heart! Hope your week is wonderful Melanie
