Avocado Feta Dip – Delicious addicting ‘crack’ dip made with feta cheese, fresh tomatoes, avocado chunks, vinaigrette, and herbs. Can’t get enough of this healthy fresh blend. Perfect party appetizer.
Today I’m introducing you to my latest favorite. Avocado feta dip. This stuff is out of this world amazing. Well, at least for me it is. A friend introduced me and I literally couldn’t stop eating it.
I love dips and there are a few here on the blog but this one just takes it over the top!
The good news is that this stuff is pretty healthy. It’s chock full of avocado (very healthy, right?), fresh chunks of Roma tomatoes, fresh herbs and spices and Feta cheese sprinkled throughout. Grab a handful of tortillas and you’re in dip heaven.
Look at those beautiful green and red chunks. You just want to reach and grab some, don’t ya? I know I do. This thing will probably be on the menu plan 20 mores times before the year is out. That’s how much I love it.
I’ve always been a dip fan though. I’m hopeless around spinach artichoke dip, buffalo chicken dip and anything with cheese.
Special shout out to my great friend, Melaney. (Yup, I have a friend with my same name.) Thanks for sharing this with m, girl. I love doing life with you. Praying God blesses us with many more years of friendship.
She made this dip and invited our family. Little did she know that I would eat almost all the dip by myself. Well, my hubby helped. And we cleaned that bowl out!
Run to the store and grab your ingredients for this one. If you like avocados I’m almost 100% certain you’ll love it. Great for football games, late Saturday night snacks and perfect for a girl’s night in.
Want to hear the fun story behind this addicting dip on the blog?
I first had it in 2015.
Published it to the blog in 2016. Crickets. The post had maybe 300 re-pins and barely any traffic at all. As a matter of fact, it had 790 page views for over an entire year. That’s pretty dang wimpy if you ask me.
Fast forward to April 2017. I create a video for the recipe, retook the photos which end up better, brighter and more appealing. To date now the video has been viewed over 1,000,000 times and it’s been pinned over 40,000 times and it’s been viewed here on the blog 40,000 times.
I’m in awe. But maybe I shouldn’t be. Avocado is an amazing food. And we sure do love to dip.
So here’s to many more happy mouths all across the world as they feast on this delicious dip! Enjoy!
Til we meet and eat again,

Oh this looks great! I am such a feta fan!
Yes, in this dip it tastes amazing!
I love how at the very end you mentioned this dip would be great for girl’s night because that is the FIRST thing that came to my mind when I saw this one! My hubs wouldn’t be too enthused about this but my bestie and I could take it down on our own, no problem!!
Yup, it’s totally OK that this be saved for girls night. 🙂 Although my hubby was chowing it down!
I’m having some guests over for drinks tomorrow night, I feel like this would be the perfect start to our night!
I’ve already printed this out and put the ingredients I need on a shopping list for tomorrow–I’m so excited about giving it a try. Sounds soooo good!
Enjoy! Come back and give us your feedback if you don’t mind. I’d appreciate it! Thanks so much. 🙂
I LOVE feta in my avocado dip so this is right up my alley! I love love how ultra-fresh and colorful it looks, Melanie!
Thanks Sarah!
I could make this whole dip my meal and be a very happy girl! Is there anything avocado doesn’t make better?
I totally agree with everything you’ve just said. 🙂
This is beautiful and I love all the colors!
Thanks so much Ashley. Glad you dropped by!
So many great flavors here!
This looks wildly delicious! Perfect for Summer parties.
This is really tasty!
I had to try some straight away. I also made extra to leave in the fridge the next day (minus the avocado) it was just as tasty if not more tasty. The perfect dip or add some chicken for a light dinner meal
Thanks for the great feedback Tanya! So glad you enjoyed it. We’ve been making this several times a month now for a while. And yes, I actually could eat it for dinner!!! 🙂
Have a great day!
Hmm….I wonder if it would work if I subbed cilantro in for parsley. What do you think?
If you like cilantro I’m sure it would be an easy substitute for you. ENjoy!
Do You mix in the feta with all of the ingredients the night before?
I do. But either one works. Enjoy the dip Lara!
I made this for a picnic – was a total hit! One thing to note is that I made this the night before and so the parsley got kind of soggy, and the brightness of the green was not there. However, the flavor and taste were great! One thing I did add was some sun-dried tomatoes soaked in oil. I just used some of the oil from the sun-dried tomatoes and just a splash of the olive oil. VERY YUMMY!
Good to note Fran. Yes, unfortunately, the herbs don’t stay ‘fresh’ looking long. The sun-dried tomatoes sound amazing!
Hi!! I just made this recipe what a hit it was. I just added black olive(pitted) my 7 year old is a big fan. I will be making this for our family reunion in a week. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe.
So glad to hear you enjoyed it Stephanie. Thanks for the positive feedback. Have a great day!
Does anyone know the calories per serving?
This dip looks amazing! I have one question though. Doesn’t the avocado turn brown if it sits overnight?
Yes, the avocado will most likely turn brown which is why I suggest not adding the avocado if you need to refrigerate overnight. This dip tastes amazing if eaten immediately as well. But it does become a bit more flavorful if you let it sit.
Enjoy the dip, Christine!
Just made this. Yum! But according to the calorie counter app I use, it’s pretty high in calories; probably from the avocados and the feta…..over 300 for 1/4 of the recipe!
Yes, approximately 1/3rd of an avocado has 80 calories and 8 grams of fat just on its own. However avocado is a good fat. So glad to hear you enjoyed the dip. It’s my go-to dip recipe for sure!
This looks divine! The recipe calls for an onion but the picture looks like a red onion was used. Which should I use?
I prefer the flavor and color of red onion in this recipe but you can choose whatever you’d like. Enjoy!
Happy dipping!
How big is the bunch of parsley? Can you give me a measurement in cups.
Trying this tonight for girls night!!
Looks amazing and I will try it soon. I’ll likely add some cucumber chunks and really up the Greek influence. Maybe some kalamatas?
