*Updated 1/17/2017 with new photos and a recipe video. Enjoy!
Most of my days are crazy. As I type this up my 9 year reads the bible to me. My 5 year is throwing a fit because he can’t see the pictures in the bible. My 11 year is asking me to download a new game on the Kindle.
I sit beside a pile of coupons that have been on my to-do list all week. I have yet to menu plan for this week and it’s Thursday night. But somehow we ate delicious meals all week.
My life can be complete chaos. Yet I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I love my family. I love my life.
So because I love my life so very much I decided to share these delightful banana chocolate chip muffins with you.
These are da bomb. Does anyone even say that anymore? Well, I just did.
In case you didn’t already know, da bomb in Melanie’s language means AWESOME. That they are.
They really are.
They just seem to melt in my mouth. And I love them just out of the oven when the mini chocolate chips sing in my mouth.
I would like to think that I can get away with eating these for breakfast too. After all they do have banana in them.
I’ve also made these with half all-purpose, half whole wheat and that makes them that much healthier. They’re delicious either way.
If you like banana you might also want to try these banana cookies. If you like chocolate. Ahem. Who doesn’t? You can try these dark chocolate cookies.
Here’s to a chaotic and messy but wonderful life!
Til we meet and eat again,

Rachel says
What temperature and bake time would I do if I wanted to do mini ones? I only have mini cupcake pans!
Melanie says
Hey Rachel. Great question. Same baking temperature. But I would say about 10-15 minutes baking time. Check after 10 minutes. If they aren’t done check again in 2 minutes REpeat until they test done with a clean toothpick.
Have a wonderful day!

These are absolutely fantastic…and last time we unexpectedly had to leave town so I froze them. While they were amazing fresh…from the freezer they were beyond amazing! My daughter who is home from college tried one…asked me to leave them in the freezer and she faithfully got one out every night to thaw so she could eat it the next day. ? Making another batch for her now since its her last week at home. Thank you!

I would just like to say that this is one of my favorite recipes of all time! I have made them numerous times and every time they are always devoured either by friends and family or just by myself! And every time I actually share them my friends and family never let them last for very long. I have gotten into the habit of making double every time, and whenever I see bananas ripening on my counter I think about this recipe. I am very glad to be able to enjoy it and am now preparing to make them again this very second.
Thank you!
