Friday’s Fabulous Finds Week 12
Fall is here. I’m enjoying fall scents, tastes and colors. This week I stopped at the local stand to pick up some mini pumpkins. Yes, soon but I couldn’t help myself.
This week’s run has got me just loving September, the cooler temps make for great walks or runs and enjoying the beauty all around me. I shared a pic on IG mentioning the reasons I adore running.
It’s boot season and I’m getting giddy, my friends. How about you? I love me some good summer months. But there’s something so comforting about getting back to boots, jeans and a sweater. I’m digging out of the attic this weekend!
I’ve been trying to get outside for my devotion time every morning. It really is serene and peaceful. It quiest my heart. Making this investment of time in my morning is the most benefical thing I do all day. When I don’t set aside time I feel frazzled, frustrated and I lose focus more easily.
What investment do you make each more to set yourself up for success?
On to the goods….
Last year I purchased a pair of Naturalizers and this may have been the 1st year that I didn’t wear out a pair within it’s first season. I’m thrilled that I get to pull them back out again and wear them again this year. Money well spent and I got them for under $60.
Naturalizer Boots
I figured friends share what friends have right? So I just wanted to let you know that Zulily has these amazing styles of Naturalizer boots on sale this weekend. Lots of styles, sizes, and colors to choose from. I definitely need to grab myself a pair in black now. Brown is what I’m digging out from last year but I’d be super pumped if I could have a pair in black too. Or maybe this Navy pair. I adore blue if you haven’t already noticed. 🙂
It’s no secret that I love Warehouse Clubs for shopping. I find that not everything is a great deal but that I certainly save enough money to pay for the membership and put some bucks back in my wallet. I’ve comparison shopped at many store and if you look for the monthly coupon sales at Sams you’re almost always saving over what you would pay at a grocery store. I look for things to go on sale seasonally.
For example, peanut butter and jelly in August and September for back to school. Nuts and chocolate chips and dried cranberries around the holiday season. Hotdogs, (you can freeze them!), paper plates, fresh berries (you can freeze these too!) in the early summer months.
Pay attention to what’s discounted and stock what you can for 6 months. Just make sure it won’t expire before then.

Fall is here and that means lots more baking and cooking. I’ve already pumped out a few loaves of bread and a few pumpkin treats. I’m ready to dig into apple goodness this week. I’m thinking fritters, muffins, and pies. Speaking of pie, my love-hate relationship with the homemade pie crust has improved dramatically over the years. I became so tired of screwing them at one point that I just resorted to the refrigerated premade type. I hated that but it was the only way I didn’t want want to hurl pie dough at the kitchen walls.
If you’re anything like me maybe you’ve struggled with success in making homemade pie crust. Maybe this class is for you. I found out that Craftsy has an online class for making pie dough. How awesome is that? And right now it’s on sale for $19.99. Heck for that price….I can make a bunch of pies at home and still be saving money.
I noticed many of you took advantage of the great deals at Craftsy so I’ll keep you informed as I see classes that suit your needs.
Enjoy the rest of your sweet weekend friends!
