Handwritten Notes of Encouragement Day 8
Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Welcome to Day 8 of Handwritten Notes of Encouragement
Yesterday’s challenge was to send a note or card to someone going through a difficult time. These can be some of the most difficult letters to write. But I hope you stuck with it and found someone to encourage. I’m doing a Facebook Live video everyday . You can watch that video here if you’d like.
My post went out to a family member who just had a minor surgery.
Please be sure to read the very first introductory post to catch up if you missed out.
Today’s challenge (DAY 8) is to send a card or note to:
Someone currently serving in the military or a veteran.
John 15:13 – There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. The sacrifice, something I will never fully grasp, is one of great honor and deserves our utmost respect. I can only imagine the time, the training, the heartbreak, all sacrifices that a total stranger is willing to make for our country. Let’s show our support both near and far through handwritten encouragement. There are numerous organizations that you can partner with to make sure that every soldier has a connection to home. See the links below for letter ideas, encouraging scriptures and information on Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit that coordinates the writing and delivery of encouraging letters to the brave.
