Inspired to Just Have Some Fun – A fun-filled day inspired by Sarah Mae’s latest book, Longing for Paris.
Longing for Paris was an excellent read. Sarah Mae focuses on the dreams that were built into each of us. “Some dreams are woven into our souls from our Creator.” Some of our dreams seem unattainable because of the life stage we are in. Some seem unattainable because we don’t have the extra money. Yet others are right there just waiting for us to grab hold of them and live them out.
Sarah has a love for Paris but with three kids and homeschooling on her plate that doesn’t seem like a dream she can live out right now. She says, “We can take our dreams and try to walk them out before their time which can bring frustration and neglect.” But sometimes our dreams aren’t a ‘no’. They’re simply a not yet. Which gives me so much hope as a momma. I am a dedicated wife and mother but I also want to walk the streets of Paris and zipline through the Costa Rica rainforest and sip on cold drinks on the sands of St. Thomas.
And my favorite quote of the whole book >
Hold on to your dreams with open hands and walk it out one day at a time believing that God cares about our dreams.
Unbeknownst to Sarah, she truly encouraged me. She posted about having croissants in her hometown of Lititz, PA, and creating simple ways to bring the fun things to the life she’s already living. So guess what I did? That’s right! I planned a day for just the kids and me to explore a new town.
We didn’t get croissants in Lititz but we did have an fun-filled day. We enjoyed chocolate and a tour from Wilbur Chocolates and fresh pretzels from Sturgis. We love the Lititz Springs Park. So serene.
Longing for Paris can be purchased at Amazon or your local bookstore.
I received this book from Tyndale in exchange for my honest review.
