I’m sick of the current news. No, it’s not about the verdict, the guilty, the innocent or anything like that. It isn’t about who’s side I should take.
It isn’t about condemning those who see differently. I feel strongly about the truth.
God’s word says in James 4:11-12, “Don’t speak against each other, my dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize each other and condemn each other, then you are criticizing and condemning God’s law. But you are not a judge who can decide whether the law is right or wrong. Your job is to obey it. God alone, who made the law, can rightly judge among us. He alone has the power to save or destroy. So what right do you have to condemn your neighbor?”
That is right. There is no right. We are taking away God’s right. He can rightly judge. It is not up to us. The truth is I refuse to do anything but obey the word of God.
I take a step back. I wasn’t put here to judge. I was put here to love.
I love brothers. I love sisters.
I love friends. I love enemies.
I love Democrats. I love Republicans.
I love the innocent. I love the guilty.
I love because He loved me.
Matt 7:1-2 “Stop judging others and you will not be judged. Whatever measure you use in judging others it will be used to measure how you are judged.”
Romans 13:8 “Pay all your debts except the debt of love for others. You can never finish paying that! If you love your neighbor you will fulfill all the requirements of God’s law.”
Your thoughts on this?
Love and blessings sent your way!
Melanie
