S’mores whoopie pies. A knock off of the classic s’mores treats. These delicious cookie sandwiches are made with melty marshmallow and smooth chocolate. Perfect for all ages.
This recipe I bring to you today is a knock off of the classic s’mores treats. It’s all American. Isn’t it? It almost seems like one of the quotas you should have to meet to be an American.
Here’s my non official list to be sure you’re an American:
1. You must try s’mores at least once in your life.
2. While I’m thinking about smores I think it should be mandatory to go camping at least once.
3. While I’m thinking of camping…You must take a road trip.
4. You must love french fries. Why? I don’t know. It just seems right.
5. You must own or have owned at least one pet. Don’t ask how many we have tried over the last 14 years.
OK. You want to know.
– A black lab/German shepherd. (kept for 6 months)
– Fish (had for about 9-12 months)
– A parakeet (about 9-12 months)
– A stray cat that we fed for a while (2 months)
– Chickens 3 + 3 ( 2 were roosters [had to go], 2 were eaten by hawks, 1 was butchered and 1 went back to the farm.
– A cockapoo (currently have) How long do you think we’ll last with her? 😉
Geez, we’ve tried a lot. I think I’m done trying to be an American. I’ll settle for whatever at this point.
So what do you think it takes to be an American? Just remember it must include eating s’mores or s’mores whoopie pies. 😉
Love and blessings,

Smores and whoopie pies and apple pies are high on my list.
These smore whoopie pies look so good – they make me wanna brave this cold weather and roast marshmallows over my improvised fire pit tonight!
Ahhh… A fire sounds amazing in this brutal cold weather!
I’ll also add to the American list that you must like cheeseburgers. Because what good are fries without cheeseburgers? These smore cookie sandwiches look delicious!
I’d have to agree Natalie! Good one. 🙂

Totally should have wrote pizza. Love it! Could eat it twice a week every week. Thanks for stopping by.
I don’t see where in the ingredients you listed the chocolate. The pictures look like maybe you used Hershey bars? Is there an approximate amount? Thanks!
I’ve updated the recipe. Thanks for catching that! Hope you get a chance to make them.

Thanks Dina!
These look so so amazing!! I love s’mores and wish I can have them more often. By the way, I so fail the American test :0 (gladly I’m not haha)
Thanks for stopping by Zainab! 🙂
All I can say is YUM!!! I absolutely am in love with smores and when you combine that with a whoopie pie, I’m not sure it can get any better! When I say your post yesterday, I immediately printed and went to the kitchen to start baking. They turned out phenomenal!! I took them to church last night and our class devoured them. The only bad thing is I only got one, so I think I may need to make another batch for us today 🙂 Thanks for another great recipe!!
Thanks Mel! Glad they were a hit. And so happy that I can be a part of your kitchen experience. Thanks for the feedback!

Actually just barely, I only tried smores once in my LIFE. And it was last year, what is WRONG with me???
These look so good, I would go CRAZY around them!
