I’m so thankful that new adventures begin with prayer. A new school year has started today.
I have an outpouring of emotions for many reasons. There’s newness in our home this year. Things are different. I can not get by without prayer. I can not get by without knowing that God is looking out for us.
My baby is starting kindergarten. Yes, my baby. How did we get here so quickly? So hard to believe. It’s good for him. It’s good for me. Yet, I still feel sadness. Did I make the best of the time I had with him? Did I teach him well enough?
God please bless my little one as he goes off on a new adventure. As he stretches his wings a little further. He may be gone from my absence but he’s never gone from your presence. Be with him. May his candor ignite the truth about you in others even at such a young age.
My daughter is starting 4th grade. She has such a caring spirit within her. I will miss her but she misses her friends. It’s time for her to go back to be with others. She has a sharing attitude and happy demeanor. I know she lets her light shine out before.
God please bless my darling daughter as she starts a new year. Be with her as she cultivates friendships. May she honor you in what she says and does. Continue to help her to be a blessing to those she is around. May her sweet spirit turn others towards you.
My oldest son is staying with me this year. He is stating middle school but we’ve decided to do online charter school through the state. Another new adventure. This decision had me in consistent prayer for the last year. I have a peace about it and I know what we are doing is right. Yet there is the unknown.
God please bless my son as we embark on a new adventure together. I look forward to learning alongside him. Please take away all anxiety. May we be in unity and harmony with one another. When we’re not, help us to put things into perspective and reach for the right outcome. I thank you for the time I will get to spend with him. May I nurture him to the best of my ability. May we have new exciting experiences together as we learn and grow.
I thank God that when I am discouraged or facing fears he’s here. I am thankful that when I don’t know how it’s going to turn out I turn to the one who does.
This verse I have been working on memorizing and it comes at a good time to.
Isaiah 41:10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold up with my victorious right hand.
I am so thankful. My heart overflows.
Blessings to you and your family as a new school year begins,
Hugs and love,
Melanie
