Delicious soft dark chocolate and white chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. A perfect balance of black and white accompanied by the delicious flavor of oatmeal. Paradise in a cookie.
I don’t know what it is about cookies but frequently I just want to bake them. Well, it may have something to do with the fact that they taste really yummy. But besides that, I just love the fact that they’re so individual. You could choose to eat 1 or 5. It’s a personal choice.
Depending on your mood (or the time of the month) you may just need something little and sweet. Or if you want to overindulge you just eat a few more. That’s easy to do, right?
These cookies are outrageously good. I love the contrast of the dark chocolate with the white chocolate. And did I mention they’re whole wheat? You can’t even tell.
I actually like whole wheat. But in case you’re someone that turns your nose up against it with the oatmeal you can’t even tell. I’m being 100% honest.
(Reason #27 to make these cookies) Whole wheat but utterly delicious! I didn’t number the last 26 reasons just to spare you the time of reading them. But trust me…they totally exist!
Here’s the end of the post. And by now I truly hope I’ve convinced you to try these whether by words or photos. Please tell me you’re ready to pull out the flour, butter and mixing bowl.
If you are… I’ve totally won!
Thanks for making me the happiest blogger! I love all of you for reading my silly, wacky, sappy, stupid posts. You’re the bestest!
Til we meet and eat again,

Eee! I love these cookies, Melanie. I love white chocolate and I love oatmeal CC cookies, so these cookies have my name written all over them. Seriously wish I had a few of these in front of me right now for breakfast instead of a plain old bowl of oatmeal. Oh, and the oatmeal in ’em makes these cookies totally appropriate for breakfast right? *wink* 🙂
These cookies look so thick and chewy, I’ll take two!
With whole wheat flour and oatmeal I’d feel good about eating these for breakfast 🙂
Me too! Thanks for stopping by Barbara!
I love a healthy cookie!
These cookies look delicious! I’ve never made chocolate chip cookies using whole wheat but now I’ve definitely got to try it. 🙂
I love a good oatmeal cookie Mel, and these look chunky and delicious!
Stopping over from Whimsy Wednesday. These look and sound fantastic! Pinned to try!
Thanks for pinning Jill! So glad you stopped by.
LOVE how loaded with chips these are!
Thanks Aimee!
Hi Melanie,
you mention milk, but it’s not by the ingredients. Hoe much milk do you need?
I’m sorry. That’s a typo. The original recipe did include a bit of milk. But I didn’t add it and I LOVED the way they turned out. I’ve updated the recipe. Thanks!
“I didn’t number the last 26 reasons just to spare you the time of reading them. But trust me…they totally exist!” Hahaha you are so funny! I think there are at least 52 reasons to eat these cookies! They look SO good!
Glad I can keep you laughing Chris. 😉
So I’m pretty sure you didn’t need to convince me much once I saw he title of these cookies! I mean they’re whole wheat and they have oatmeal in them, which means they’re totally healthy right? Which then also means I can eat 3 in one go and not feel too guilty right? I think I’m going to go with that logic haha.
That’s right Rebecca! At least 3 is required. 😉
Thanks for dropping by!
Did you use all whole wheat flour, or part WW, part AP? And was it white whole wheat, or regular? {Ingredients list AP flour, but instructions say WW flour.} Thanks, Cheryl
I used all whole wheat flour for this recipe. White whole wheat or a mixture would probably work well too. Sorry for the mix up! Thanks for stopping by Cheryl! Have a wonderful Sunday.
Thanks so much for the speedy reply, and for clearing things up.
These are my kind of cookies! So delicious! Thanks for linking up with What’s Cookin’ Wednesday!
I make cookies alot using whole wheat flour. I have a recipe similar to this one and I put grated orange zest, dried cranberries, walnuts and sometimes add unsweetened coconut. They are wonderful.
I just came across your blog.
Sounds like a great combo Charlotte! So happy you stopped by. Hope to see you back soon. Check back tomorrow for a giveaway! 🙂
