Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Oat Smoothie – Healthy breakfast smoothie chock full of peanut butter, banana, oats, and chocolate topped off with delicious fresh blueberries.
Time to start the new year off healthy. And for me that includes smoothies. They don’t take much thought and it’s a great way to start the day. Minus the fact that it makes me think it’s 10 degrees below. And it starts this whole cycle.
Drink coffee. Warmth. Ahh… Drink smoothie. I’m flippin’ freezing. Ahhh….I need more coffee. And on it goes. But besides that I definitely put smoothies on my regular breakfast rotation.
For all my fellow blogger friends and photographers I have to let you in on a little secret. This simple smoothie turned not so simple when I went to edit pictures. Let me back up. When I took the pictures everything seemed great and I had my usual fun.
When it came time to actually edit and put them on the blog I was frustrated. They just didn’t seem to capture the smoothie the way I wanted. I could be super stubborn, delete the pictures and start over but I’m too tired for that.
So here you have an ultra simple delicious AMAZING picture with some mediocre pictures. Thanks for listening as I vent about my ‘job’ that I adore. I feel so blessed to be able to do this everyday and it’s truly a joy. So if the worst thing that can happen is I learn from my mistakes and grow. Then that’s a great thing.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Oat Smoothie
- 1 handful of ice
- 1/2 cup milk soy, almond or regular
- 1 large or 2 small frozen bananas
- 3 tablespoons oats
- 1 Tablespoon peanut butter or any nut butter
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- fresh blueberries for topping
- Combine all ingredients except blueberries in a blender in the order listed. Blend until smooth. Pour in glass and garnish with fresh blueberries
