Friday Fabulous Things Week 16
Happy Friday. Fridays I’m celebrating the good in my life and the fabulous things that I come across in my little part of the world.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s pretend we’re sipping coffee or tea together and just sharing our hearts. 💗
- I made a tasty sheet pan supper the other day with pork chops and asparagus. Not only was it tasty but it was so pretty too. Seems like I may be slow to the sheet pan supper thing but I love it. So easy to get dinner on the table.
- Thankful for simple food prep.
- Sunday we got to spend time with one of our favorite families. While we were chilling in the afternoon an ice cream truck came by. The sheer joy and shrieking from the kids was priceless. This was the 1st time the truck came to the neighborhood and it sure made for a lot of smiles.
- Thankful for simple joys like Italian ice on a beautiful day.
- I just got the KitchenAid spiralizer and used it for the first time this past weekend. It was so fun! We spiralized some zucchini noodles. Also, it will also be great for peeling and coring apples for apple season. It’s such versatile tool. If you use it for anything else, let me know. I want to use it to its full capabilities.
- Thankful tools that make kitchen chores seem fun.
- We had lunch out this past week. And I ordered a Caprese chicken dish. It was so good that I want to try to recreate it at home. Love me some mozzarella, tomato and basil.
- Thankful when I don’t have to cook a meal.
- Ahh…freshly mowed lawns. It made my heart smile when I looked out the other day and caught my husband and my youngest pushing the mower together. I love that he takes the time to teach them things. And I love that Declan isn’t afraid of hard work. He jumps right in and helps when he can.
- Thankful for the hard working man and boys in my life.
- The Monday after Easter the kids and I went down to the river to ride bikes (and explore.) They found this cool way to get out on a limb over the water and had a blast. But two days later 2 of the kids got poison ivy. 😭 The still have it. So if you have ideas besides oatmeal baths and calamine lotion, I’d appreciate any advice I can get. Trying not to be discouraged since it’s only April and we’ve already found ticks on us and got poison ivy.
- Thankful that healing comes.
- Amazon Prime really is a lifesaver in this day and age. Yes, when toilet paper is running low. When you need coffee. Even when you want to purchase cashews, a broom holder or a swimsuit. Yes, Amazon is my friend. 😊 Don’t know where I’d be without it. All actual things I purchased an Amazon this month. Yes, indeed.
- Thankful for Amazon who rescues me from extra trips to the store.
- Almonds – I finally put a big bag of them in my console in my car. I love to have a snack in the afternoon but I don’t always remember to pack a snack when I go out. Having these on hand helps when I get the munchies and I love the salted roasted ones. Yum! #winningatsnacking
- Thankful for the little things in my day.
- My WORD of the YEAR this year is ABIDE. So when I saw the shirt BE STILL I knew it was for me. I love these Tees and were them a lot. They’re on sale again today!

I think you’ll want to check out what’s new this week.
- 🍳 New breakfast bake. Cheesy Amish Breakfast Casserole.
- 📽New Video and Updated post – Avocado Feta Dip. My favorite dip now. It scooted our Spinach Artichoke Dip for first place. The video is going strong and it looks like you have my love for avocados too!
- 🍽 New Gathering Post – I’ve shared about the recent dinner we hosted with the community. Seems like it was a great outreach and it was so enjoyable. I hope you’ll stop over and be encouraged on how you can be a blessing to your neighbors.
Have a great weekend! Hope it’s filled with good food and your favorite people around the table.
Til we meet and eat again,
