Welcome to week #9 of Friday’s Fabulous Finds. Can’t believe we’re about to say goodbye to February. Read more to find out how I celebrated my birthday this year and all the things I have my eye on right now.
Well, I took a little break from Friday’s Fabulous Finds. I had some other important business goals to work on but it’s back. Hopefully, I can do it weekly or bi-weekly. It’s really fun for me to share moments outside of my normal recipe blogging. It’s almost therapeutic and if you’re not a fan don’t worry. Just skip right over this and I’ll see you back here next week for another yummy recipe.

FABULOUS MOMENTS THIS WEEK
We enjoyed a great couples getaway this past weekend. We try to take one weekend a year to go away with just the 2 of us. It really allows us to soak in some time with one another and just enjoy exploring a new town. This year we choose Pittsburgh. Any Pittsburgh fans in the house?!
So many people told us that it’s a great city. And it really is. We did tons and tons of walking, to the tune of over 12 miles in one day. We had a blast visiting new restaurants, riding the infamous incline and enjoying Point Park (which was directly across from our hotel). See below. We had a beautiful view.
I felt especially blessed by the warm weather. 60 degrees in mid February is not the norm for Pennsylvania so I was abundantly happy in the warm temperatures. We enjoyed time with friends of ours who drove 3 hours to spend 24 hours with us. Doubly blessed.
On Saturday evening we took a stroll to Andy’s to listen to some jazz. That was relaxing and we’re still wondering why we don’t make more time for date nights. Over all it was an amazing weekend that I would do again in a heartbeat!
Are you ever absolutely so sad that something beautiful must come to an end? I want to cry just thinking about it. It’s was everything I hoped for on my birthday and more.

Look at this awesome mug from DaySpring. I’m so excited. I just bought up a brand new set of chalk markers. (Waiting for them to show at the the doorstep.) And what a perfect way to let the kids create. I thought it would inspire conversation and creativity as we sip together.
These 32 oz. mugs can hold a full bag of candy or even a large arrangement of flowers too. Perfect for teacher gifts or Mother’s Day or that special friend.

I’m also loving this super comfy looking top. Looks like a top that I could enjoy on the road at home or even out for dinner. Now that’s a bonus. I’d wear this almost anywhere!

I’m loving the tassel necklaces I see everyone wearing lately. And it’s time I picked one up for myself. I love this one because it’s available in so many color choices! I think I’m going with Mint or Turquoise though. Which is your favorite?
