What a fun foodie holiday! Why? Because I love chocolate and cherry. It’s such a great combo. As you well know, I’ve been a raging chocolate fan for about forever. But cherries…they’re a new crush of mine within the past few years. So expect to say more cherry recipes coming your way over the next few years.

Not one was this dessert super fun to make but ask my kids. It was super fun to eat too. Yum!
It’s kind of got all of our families favorite desserts in one. My husband loves cherry pie filling. I love brownies. And we all love anything with cream cheese.

Chocolate Cherry Brownie Dessert Pizza
Ingredients
Brownies
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder I use dark cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
Cream Layer
- 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
Cherry Layer
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 12-inch round rimmed pizza pan with nonstick spray; set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, melt butter in microwave safe bowl. Let cool.
- Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Combine and stir for about 1 minute. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until fully combined, about 50 strokes. Don't overmix. Spread batter onto prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook. Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack.
- Meanwhile, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Beat together for about 2 minutes, until smooth.
- Spread evenly over the cooled brownie pie.
- Carefully spoon cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate until serving. Let sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Slice into wedges and enjoy.
