Hey Friends. How did Friday roll around again? I do not know but it sure makes me happy. Because this week starts a week of togetherness with my best friend. He’s got the week off. Don’t tell him that I’ve got it all planned out for us. 🙂
FABULOUS MOMENTS THIS WEEK
One of my favorite things about being a work-at-home mother-blogger-business owner is flexibility. I got to hang out and have lunch at school with my youngest past week. He’s 7 and I’m really enjoying him this year. He’s funny, thoughtful and full of life and energy.
It may sound not so nice but I feel like I’m loving him more than ever. Let’s just say years 1-5 were extremely challenging. So for those of you who are struggling through the toddler years, I hear you loud and clear. Days can be so long and answers can seem so far away. Some parenting strategies never seemed to work. But I’m hear to tell you there is hope. I’m finally loving our relationship as mother and soon.
Last week was so rainy and dreary here but the sun is back. October is gorgeous in Pennsylvania! I was so excited to be able to get back out for a run this week. Ahhhh…

FABULOUS FOOD FINDS FOR THE NEXT GATHERING
I can just visualize pouring this creamy-avocado-cilantro-sauce (from Girl Versus Dough) over chicken or fish and even a slice of good ole bread. It’s just incredible looking! And over the last few years I’ve learned to love avocado. So bring it on!
As soon as I spotted this incredible bread I knew exactly where my heart wanted to be. Cuddled up on the couch with a warm cup of coffee and this delicious Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake Banana Bread (from Whole and Heavenly Oven). Oh yeah. Wanna sit with me?
My girl, Zainab knows the way to my heart. These look perfectly rich and chewy. Mmmm.. Come to me coconut chocolate chunk cookies (from Blahnik Baker).
FABULOUS PODCAST I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW
I’ve been listening to Amy Porterfield’s podcast, Online Marketing Made Easy, since the beginning of time. Err…I mean since I’ve been introduced to podcasts. I love a good mixture of business, blogging, faith and family.
This is one of my favorite podcast for business. Amy shares practical tactics for marketing. I’m especially liking it considering that I just opened my online shop. And let’s just say I have no background in marketing. So I’m definitely a work in progress here.
FABULOUS BOOK I’M READING RIGHT NOW
I can use all the parenting advice I can get so I usually like to read several parenting books each year. I certainly don’t claim to be an expert and I’ve had my share of failures. Being a parent is way harder than I thought it would be. And recently I’m struggling with having to repeat my words over and over.
Now, I’m not saying that we ever were in a phase of life where we weren’t repeating ourselves. But I feel my children, especially my older ones should be capable of doing many things on their own without reminders. Ahem! Like brushing teeth, hanging up bath towels, unpacking their lunch bags.
This book Motivate Your Child: A Christian Parent’s Guide to Raising Kids Who Do What They Need to Do Without Being Told has given me good wisdom on practical ways to teach them so I’m not constanly uttering words that I no longer wish to utter. I’m thoroughly enjoying it!
What are your thoughts on the fabulous finds this week?

Wow, gorgeous pic of the water. And your little guy is so cute! Always fun when they have off from school and we have to find lovely ways to occupy them. 🙂
I need some of Zainab’s cookies too!
