Grilled Corn on the Cob – How to Grill Corn – Grilling corn is an easy BBQ side dish recipe for summer. This corn is grilled to perfection and topped with butter, basil, and Parmesan cheese.
Today I’m sharing one of summer’s finest goods. That’s right. Corn on the cob, grilled to perfection. There’s nothing like that smoky grill flavor on your food. I’ve come to love that grilled taste. And it’s hard to believe that 15 years ago, everything I grilled had foil under.
If I could back in time, I’d slap that girl and throw that foil into the nearest dumpster so she had no choice but to grill it up naked….right on the rack.
It’s so discouraging to think that I missed out on all that amazing flavor AND those pretty grill marks.
I mean come on….they are pretty dang irresistible. And nothing makes me happier when I’m grilling then seeing those fine lines.
For this side dish, you’ll want to be sure to soak the corn for a bit before grilling it in the husks or you’ll have a few flames to snuff out as pictured below. I believe that I didn’t fully emerge the entire cob in the water for the 15 minutes. So be sure to do that if you’d like to avoid the flames.
Other than that, this dish is easy peasy. And as long as you have the corn on hand already, it’s ready to eat in about 35 minutes. If you’re grilling up some meats, why not grill up your side dish too?
I’m not sure where you’re reading this from. But here in South Central Pennsylvania, we have some pretty dang good fresh corn. And we eat corn almost weekly in the summer because the rest of the year, we can’t. So we take advantage of the harvest and eat it often.
So, it’s great to know different ways to prepare the corn too so that we don’t tire of it quickly. But that’s usually not a problem. There’s always chicken corn soup with rivels, chicken corn chowder, creamy crabby corn dip, and zucchini bacon corn soup.
What are some of your favorite ways to use fresh ears of corn? I’d love to hear! I’m always looking for new ways to feed the family our favorite foods.
Have a great week! Hope it’s filled with good food and your favorite people around the table.
Til we meet and eat again,
